White Mask Varré is a character in Elden Ring.
White Mask Varré is the first person the Tarnished speaks to after leaving the Stranded Graveyard. He mocks the newcomer for being maidenless and points the way to Stormveil Castle. At Rose Church he offers a place in the dynasty of Mohg, Lord of Blood. His questline grants the Bloody Finger and the Pureblood Knight's Medal, which opens an early road to Mohgwyn Palace.
Lore
Varré wears a white mask and the garb of a war surgeon. He greets the Tarnished with mocking courtesy and scorns them as maidenless.
War surgeons were not healers; they ended the suffering of dying soldiers on the battlefield. Mohg had such surgeons taken against their will, and of all of them only Varré could tame the accursed blood.
Varré came to worship Mohg and gathered recruits for the new dynasty. He tested the Tarnished with the blood of a maiden and finally fell in the halls of Mohgwyn Palace, praising his lord to the end.
Where to find White Mask Varré Location?
- The First Step Site of Grace, at the start of the game
- Rose Church in Liurnia of the Lakes, after a visit to the Roundtable Hold
