Gold Ore is gold in its raw state in Enshrouded, often hidden below the water, where a golden glint at the bottom of a stream can lure a careless miner. It feeds the Flame at the Flame Altar, which needs a large amount to reach level 9. It is mined from gold veins in the Veilwater Basin, and Ancient constructs drop it, including the Ancient S.P.D.R. Construct boss and the Hydrak'Dal boss. It also builds the Large Drak’Dal Door and the Drak Relief Showcase.

Gold Ore is mined from gold veins in the Veilwater Basin. Many veins lie under water, and the item text warns of the golden glint at the bottom of a stream. Diving gear such as the Diving Helmet helps, because it allows longer dives. Ancient constructs also drop the ore, including the boss Ancient S.P.D.R. Construct and the boss Hydrak'Dal. The Blast Furnace smelts it with Coal into Gold Bars.

Gold Ore is part of the offering that raises the Flame to level 9 at a Flame Altar. The same offering asks for Sparks, Green Vitriol Dust, Passionflower, Aquamarine and Pearl. Its key item is the head of the boss Hydrak'Dal, found as a Hydrak'Dal Head. All of these come from the Veilwater Basin, so one long stay there covers the whole offering. Each new Flame level adds time in the Shroud and opens deeper Shroud areas.
