The Pillars of Creation are two massive volcanoes in the Nomad Highlands, linked to the Ancients and visible from far away. Inside one of them stands a huge, strange structure built by the Ancients. Scholars set up excavation camps to study it. One expedition believed it was a gateway of some kind, and another came to call it a gateway to the stars. Vukah inscriptions in the caverns tell that the Ancients tore one Pillar open with a great explosion. Queen Jezmina's southern caravan crossed between the Pillars on its way to Longkeep, and lost many of its people to the Vukah there.
Where to Find Pillars of Creation - Map Location
The Pillars rise in the west of the Nomad Highlands. The Gate to the Pillars of Creation leads in from the Revelwood. The Research Camp lies within the research site. The canyon between the two volcanoes holds the Vukah Arena and links the Highlands to the Springlands. Umber Hollow lies east of the northern Pillar, and a Night Sanctum is hidden inside the southern one. An Elixir Well guarded by a Fell Thunderbrute boss lies in the Shroud to the south.

Lore Pages
The set The Pillars of Creation holds the notes of the scholar Loraine Crim. In "Vukah Inscriptions", she finds Vukah markings, tusks and bones in the caverns, though this was never Vukah land. By her reading, the Vukah offer their tusks in a ceremony so that the Pillar will not erupt again. In "Noises!", she hears the Vukah climbing back up from their cave and abandons the dig site and its relics. "Axe Found" is the lore entry gained by defeating the boss Vukah Brawler of the canyon and taking the queen's axe, Jezmina's Apotheosis. The cosmetic Mothling Set can also be found around the Pillars.
