How to Get the Aegisbane?

Where to find the Aegisbane Location?

To get Aegisbane you must go to the mountainous Dwemer ruin of Raldbthar and defeat Alain Dufont who wields the stolen Warhammer. Raldbthar is located in the mountain range West from the city of Windhelm, directly south from the lake.

Gameplay Trivia

While carrying the warhammer in Windhelm, guards might notice and talk about it. They call it "Aegisbane" and say it belongs to the Shatter-Shields. The guard mentions it was stolen by Alain Dufont and Muiri, making it the same stolen warhammer. Unfortunately, there's no way to return the weapon to its rightful owners.
Aegisbane is the heirloom of the Shatter-Shields family in Windhelm, it was stolen by Alain Dufont and Muiri. The unique weapon can be obtained by the Dragonborn by defeating Alain Dufont.
The word 'Aegis' means 'shield' in Greek mythology, so the name of this weapon translates to "shield bane."
Beyond disenchanting the weapon to learn the frost enchantment Aegisbane is not very useful in normal gameplay. The weapon serves more as a plot device.

Weapon Levels
