Orichalcum Ingot is a smithing material in Skyrim, made at a smelter. Two Orichalcum Ore smelt into one ingot.
Uses
Orcish armour and weapons. The ore is richest around the Orc strongholds, so the supply tends to follow the questline.
Tempering consumes one ingot per item improved, so keeping a stock matters as much as having enough to forge with in the first place. Smelting grants no Smithing experience; only forging and tempering do.

Without the perk the material still tempers, at half rate.
