Amber is pure trade goods with no recipe attached. Haldor pays five coins for it over his counter, and it is worth nothing anywhere else. Look for it in Burial Chambers and chests in the Black Forest.

How to Get It
Amber is chest loot rather than a kill drop or a harvest, so every piece comes out of something you open. Check the stone graves and Viking graveyards in the Meadows, the Burial Chambers under the Black Forest and the Sunken Crypts of the Swamp. No tool tier gates any of it, although the crypts stay locked until The Elder gives up a Swamp Key. Perch caught on a Fishing Rod sometimes come up with a piece as well. It weighs almost nothing, so never leave any behind in a chest.
