The Eitr-weave Hood is what a Mistlands mage wears instead of a helmet: it trades real protection for eitr regeneration. You weave it at the Galdr Table from refined eitr. It has 16 armour, or 22 fully upgraded, and ranks 7th among helmets. Worn with the rest of the Eitr-weave Set, it is part of a 49 armour rating, which turns a 100-damage hit into 51.

How to Craft

You craft it at a level 1 galdr table from:

  • 16x Linen Thread: Spin it from flax at a spinning wheel.
  • 15x Refined Eitr: Refine it from sap and soft tissue at an eitr refinery.
  • 2x Iron: Smelt it from scrap iron in a smelter.
Name Image Biome Crafting Station Spawn ID
Linen Thread Linen Thread Plains Spinning Wheel spawn LinenThread
Refined Eitr Refined Eitr Mistlands Eitr Refinery spawn Eitr
Iron Iron Swamp Smelter spawn Iron

When to Use It

This is mid game gear. It needs Mistlands materials and a Galdr Table, so it comes after Yagluth and the sea crossing that follows him. The Ashlands and the Deep North still lie past this biome.

Upgrades

You can upgrade it 3 times after crafting, and each level needs the station built one step higher than the last. The base stats are for quality 1, so this is the ladder your own copy is somewhere on:

Quality Crafting Station Armor Durability Resources
1 Galdr table (Level 1) 16 1000
2 Galdr table (Level 2) 18 1200
3 Galdr table (Level 3) 20 1400
4 Galdr table (Level 4) 22 1600

Properties

Notes

  • Armor lowers physical, fire, frost and lightning damage, but poison and spirit damage go straight through it.
  • While your armor is less than half of a hit's damage, it is simply subtracted from the hit. Once it reaches half the damage or more, the damage taken becomes the damage squared divided by four times your armor, so doubling your armor halves the damage you take.
  • Your armor rating is the total of the helmet, chest, leg and cape pieces you wear.
