The Feather Cape is barely armour at all. Its point is the landing: worn on your back, it takes the harm out of any drop, so the roots, ledges and sheer cliffs of the Mistlands become shortcuts. It has 1 armour, or 4 fully upgraded. Worn with the rest of the Eitr-weave Set, it is part of a 49 armour rating, which turns a 100-damage hit into 51.
How to Craft
You craft it at a level 1 galdr table from:
- 10x Feathers: Crows and gulls drop them, and you also find them in chests in the Meadows.
- 5x Scale Hide: Hares in the Mistlands drop it.
- 20x Refined Eitr: Refine it from sap and soft tissue at an eitr refinery.
| Name | Image | Biome | Crafting Station | Spawn ID |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Feathers | Black Forest | - | spawn Feathers
| |
| Scale Hide | Mistlands | - | spawn ScaleHide
| |
| Refined Eitr | Mistlands | Eitr Refinery | spawn Eitr
|
When to Use It
This is mid game gear. It needs Mistlands materials and a Galdr Table, so it comes after Yagluth and the sea crossing that follows him. The Ashlands and the Deep North still lie past this biome.
Upgrades
You can upgrade it 3 times after crafting, and each level needs the station built one step higher than the last. The base stats are for quality 1, so this is the ladder your own copy is somewhere on:
| Quality | Crafting Station | Armor | Durability | Resources |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Galdr table (Level 1) | 1 | 1000 |
|
| 2 | Galdr table (Level 2) | 2 | 1200 |
|
| 3 | Galdr table (Level 3) | 3 | 1400 |
|
| 4 | Galdr table (Level 4) | 4 | 1600 |

Notes
- Most capes gain 1 armor per upgrade level, but the Ashen Cape, the Moose Hide Cape and the Cape of the Caller gain 2.
- A cape's armor counts toward your total armor rating along with your helmet, chest and leg pieces.
- A cape's frost resistance only stops Freezing while you are dry. Once you are Wet, it no longer protects you.
