The Vice is a Black Forge extension from the Crafting Stations section, bolted down where a smith can lean his weight on it and screwed together from Iron, Copper and a pair of Mechanical Springs. It adds no recipes by itself. What it does is raise the forge a level, so the Mistlands and Ashlands gear made there can be pushed to a higher quality.
How to Build It
It costs 5 Iron, 8 Copper and 2 Mechanical Springs. The springs are the real gate, since they are made at an Artisan Table, so you need the Plains behind you before you can build it at all. Build it within attaching distance of a Black Forge, not just in the same room, or the forge stays at its old level. The forge needs a roof and mostly closed walls to work in the first place, so the Vice lives indoors with it.
