The Northside Apartment is a motel unit that V can buy in Northside, in the Watson district of Night City. It is the cheapest home V can buy. The room is small and plain, and it keeps to the basics. Players pick it for the low price and for the fast travel point right outside the door. V with enough Intelligence can even take it without paying.
Features
The apartment holds everything V needs between jobs. There is a bed, a bathroom with a shower and a mirror, a stash and a wardrobe. Iconic Weapon display racks hang on the wall near the stash, so V can show off rare guns. A computer sits on the desk, and a radio plays news and music.
The one extra is a Roach Race arcade machine.
Sleeping in the bed gives the Rested status, which raises the experience V earns for skills. A shower gives the Refreshed status, and with it V regenerates health during combat. Each status lasts one hour. The mirror lets V change appearance, and the wardrobe stores outfits.
How to Get
- Finish the main job Playing for Time. Apartment sales open after V meets Takemura at Tom's Diner.
- The new apartments then appear on the map with their own icon.
- Open the EZEstates site on a computer and pay there, or travel to Northside and buy the apartment in person at the door.
- The price is €$ 10,000. It is a one-time payment, and the apartment belongs to V from then on.
- With an Intelligence of 20, V can jack into the keypad to the right of the door and hack it. The hack grants full ownership for free.

Lore
Northside is the industrial sub-district of Watson. It was once the prosperous factory heart of the area. Earthquakes later damaged its buildings, and the corporations that paid for it stopped investing. Most of the factories shut down and now stand empty.
New apartment blocks went up along the edge of the district. They hide the ruined area from the rest of the city. Mid-level workers who run the last few factories live in them. Many people came here looking for a new life. Most found long hours and no way to move up.
The Maelstrom gang claims Northside as its turf. Its members use the abandoned buildings as hideouts and as illegal braindance studios. They also store the loot they steal from corporate transports there. The streets grow dangerous after dark.

- Makeovers from the EZEstates site change the look of V's first apartment in Megabuilding H10. Each makeover costs €$ 10,000.
