The Japantown Apartment is a home that V can buy in Japantown, in the Westbrook district of Night City. It sits in the party district of Westbrook, a short way from Corpo Plaza. The apartment costs more than the Northside unit and much less than the homes in The Glen and Corpo Plaza. In return it offers far more things to do than the cheaper Northside room. Players pick it for the mid-range price and the long list of objects to use inside.
Features
The apartment holds everything V needs between jobs. There is a bed, a bathroom with a shower and a mirror, a stash and a wardrobe. Iconic Weapon display racks stand inside, so V can show off rare guns. A computer sits on the desk, and a radio plays news and music.
Several objects invite V to stop for a moment. V can sit at a bar stool and take a drink of alcohol or smoke a cigarette. A guitar waits for V to play it. Incense can be lit, and a record player spins vinyl. A Roach Race arcade machine stands in the room as well.
Sleeping in the bed gives the Rested status, which raises the experience V earns for skills. A shower gives the Refreshed status, and with it V regenerates health during combat. Each status lasts one hour. The mirror lets V change appearance, and the wardrobe stores outfits.
How to Get
- Finish the main job Playing for Time. Apartment sales open after V meets Takemura at Tom's Diner.
- The new apartments then appear on the map with their own icon.
- Open the EZEstates site on a computer and pay there, or travel to Japantown and buy the apartment in person at the door.
- The price is €$ 30,000. It is a one-time payment, and the apartment belongs to V from then on.

Lore
Japantown is a sub-district of Westbrook, and most of its people are of Japanese descent. By day the streets are clean, safe and crowded with tourists. They come for the bars, the fancy restaurants and the gaming parlors. The Cherry Blossom Market and the Shinto shrine are must-see stops for every visitor.
After dark Japantown turns into the party district of the rich. Corpos come here to blow off steam after a long day in the rat race. Tourists come for a wild night out. Both groups spend their eddies in the same casinos and fancy brothels.
The Tyger Claws rule Japantown during the night hours. Visitors who want a quiet night keep their heads down and stay out of the gang's way. Corpos with deep pockets and drunk tourists both have good reason to be careful here.
