The Quadra Turbo-R 740 is a classic American sports car with a wild streak. It has a powerful engine and quick, sharp handling. The in-game Database warns that it bucks careless drivers like an unbroken horse. Players who enjoy a car that demands skill will love it. It is a mid-priced way into the Quadra family. The Turbo-R 740 is a mid game purchase on the Autofixer netpage once V has enough Street Cred.
Performance
The Turbo-R 740 is a sports car that rewards a careful hand. Its engine is strong and its steering is quick. Pushing it too hard in a corner can send it out of control, just as the Database warns.
Road Warrior from the Cool tree adds weapon damage while the car drifts or is airborne. Stuntjock from the Reflexes tree removes the bullet spread penalty for shooting while driving. Gearhead from the Technical Ability tree adds vehicle health.

Lore
The in-game Database tells the Turbo-R's story. Japanese sports cars once flooded American cities, because they were reliable, fast and affordable. The Quadra Turbo-R proved that reports of the American car industry's decline were exaggerated.
The Turbo-R became a classic almost at once. Car lovers fell for its powerful engine, its responsive handling and its bold attitude. There was a downside, though. The Database says the Turbo-R rode like a wild stallion, ready to throw unskilled drivers out of the saddle. Only a real carjock could unlock its full potential. Many thrill seekers lost control and hurt both themselves and their shiny new Quadra.
Notes
- The Turbo-R V-Tech is the improved Turbo-R, given free as the reward for the side job Sex on Wheels.
