Run This Town is a Phantom Liberty side job in which Mr. Hands asks V to help decide who rules Dogtown after Kurt Hansen. It starts with a call from Mr. Hands after Firestarter, at his suite in Heavy Hearts. Disguised as a feared Cuban cartel mercenary, V meets the two candidates, Chester Bennett and Jago Szabó, and the choices made lead to a tense showdown at Hansen's wake in the Black Sapphire.
Story
Hands's Urgent Job
The journal warns that Mr. Hands has something urgent lined up. Dogtown is about to heat up again, and Johnny recommends staying on top of it.
Mr. Hands insists on meeting at once. Gigs already started can be finished, but new gigs in Dogtown stay locked until V meets him. At Heavy Hearts, he locks the door and offers double V's usual rate. Turning him down fails the job.
Two Candidates
Two men want to replace Hansen. Chester Bennett was Hansen's chief aide. Jago Szabó was his head accountant. Mr. Hands prefers Bennett, for his military background and his ties to Hansen, which promise continuity. He calls Jago immature, and doubts that a bookkeeper can lead a place like Dogtown.
To sway the race, V will pose as Aguilar Nubiola, a respected mercenary of a Cuban cartel with close ties to Dogtown's leaders. Mr. Hands provides a behavioural imprint, a replica of Aguilar's gun and Aguilar's suit.
Jago
At a spot where Jago is due to meet the Voodoo Boys, V activates the imprint, waits for the Voodoo Boys and deals with them. When Jago arrives with his bodyguard, he is surprised to find "Aguilar". V tells him to drop out of the race. Jago can then reveal that Bennett has been negotiating with a front company backed by Arasaka, which opens an optional meeting with Bennett.
Bennett
At Bennett's usual meeting place with Arasaka, V takes out his bodyguard by the door, hides the body and waits in Bennett's car. When Bennett returns, he is shocked to see Aguilar and tries to explain himself. He can be talked round, or he turns hostile. In a fight, V can only use Aguilar's gun, with no scanning, implants or other weapons.
Hansen's Wake
Finally, V goes to the Black Sapphire for Hansen's wake as Aguilar. Jago is uneasy, because Bennett has brought in extra security. What follows decides who rules Dogtown, and who survives the night.

Choices
Who Rules Dogtown
For Bennett to lead, skip the meeting with him, or meet him without provoking him. At the wake, most paths end with Bennett in charge and Jago dead. Drawing a weapon and asking Bennett whether he would plunge Dogtown into chaos makes Bennett the leader while Jago survives.
For Jago to lead, meet Bennett, provoke him into attacking, and say that Jago will lead. At the wake, Jago can then come out on top, with or without Bennett surviving.
Mr. Hands's Verdict
Mr. Hands is pleased if Bennett leads and nobody dies. Otherwise he calls V unprofessional. If Jago leads and nobody died at the wake, Mr. Hands texts a few days later that he and Jago have met to talk business, and he seems very pleased with the more capable leader.
Rewards
Completing Run This Town pays €$ 8,000. It also rewards Aguilar's suit and Mancinella.
Tips
In Aguilar's disguise, V cannot scan or use other weapons, implants or grenades, so a fight with Bennett relies on the replica gun alone.
Notes
- Aguilar's gun is called Mancinella.
