The Beast in Me: Santo Domingo is the last qualifying race of Claire Russell's street racing storyline, after The Beast in Me: Badlands. A day later, Claire texts V the start, at Brandon and Wollesen Streets in Arroyo, Santo Domingo. After the race, Claire finally tells V why she is really racing this year.

Story

The Fountain of Trouble

Johnny's journal entry remembers Santo Domingo as an eternal fountain of trouble. The one sure thing there was that sooner or later V would step on the toes of some hot blooded jarhead with "6th Street" tattooed on his backside. Winning this race shows them who is in charge. And V has a good shot: Johnny does not see Claire slowing down until she reaches the finals.

The Grid

At the starting line, V calls Claire. She asks whether V will drive V's own car or her "Beast", then V waits on a bench nearby. This time, the field holds teams from the Tyger Claws, the Mox, 6th Street and the Valentinos, along with the returning Aldecaldo racers Jakub Antonowicz and Margot Wojciechowicz. Before the start, Claire wants to look over the engine.

Dean

After the race, Claire asks V to pull over at a quiet overlook nearby. There she tells the truth. Her husband, Dean Russell, died in last year's championship race. Peter Sampson, a corporate driver working for Militech, slammed on his brakes in front of Dean and Claire on purpose. Dean braked too, and the crash killed him. Claire wants to kill Sampson in the championship, and if it comes to a choice between winning and killing him, she wants him dead.

The Beast in Me: Santo Domingo Map Location and Walkthrough

The Beast in Me: Santo Domingo map location:

  1. Read Claire's text a day after The Beast in Me: Badlands.
  2. Go to the start at Brandon and Wollesen Streets in Arroyo.
  3. Call Claire and choose whether to drive V's own car or the Beast.
  4. Sit on the bench and wait for Claire.
  5. Talk to Claire by the car while she checks the engine.
  6. Get in, wait for the race to start, and finish it.
  7. Talk to Claire and drive to a secluded spot.
  8. Follow Claire, sit by her and talk to her.

Choices

Claire's Revenge

V can agree to help Claire kill Sampson, or say V only wants to win the final race, and Claire accepts that. Either way, the two go on to the final race in Westbrook. If V refuses to help at all, Claire says she will race with someone else, and no longer turns up at the Afterlife.

For the best outcome of the storyline, use these answers after the race: "Your driver, yeah", "Why tell me about him?", "What's the connection to our race?", "What happened to your husband exactly?", "Tell me about this corpo Sampson?", "You sure it was murder?", "Want my help to kill Sampson?" and "My priority's winning." When Claire texts afterwards, answer "Don't worry about it. Just remember what you promised me."

Completing The Beast in Me: Santo Domingo pays €$ 3,860 (dependent), 486 experience and 728 Street Cred.

Winning pays €$ 3,860 and secures one of the finishes needed for the final race. The job also pays experience and Street Cred.

Tips

Save before the race in case of foul play from the other drivers. A weaponised vehicle from AUTOFIXER makes the race easier.
