Soldier's Code is the Maister tome for the Fighter vocation. Reading it teaches Riotous Fury, a flurry of powerful blows, to the Arisen and the main pawn.
Lennart, the Fighter Maister in Melve, gives it once the dragon has been driven off in Readvent of Calamity and his favour is high enough.
A tome detailing an exceptional ability for fighters. Use it to learn Riotous Fury. The Arisen's main pawn will also receive the same effect.
Work through Scaly Invaders for Lennart and finish one of Captain Brant's quests in Vernworth.
Return to Melve and drive off the dragon in Readvent of Calamity.
Speak to Lennart afterwards. Gifts and escort missions raise his favour if he holds the tome back.
Lennart, the Fighter Maister, gives it. The path runs through the Scaly Invaders side quest, then one of Monster Culling, Disa's Plot or The Caged Magistrate, and finally a return to Melve to fend off the dragon. Raising his favour high through gifts or escort missions, once per day, also works. He is found in Melve, or later by the seashore in Harve Village.

Readvent of Calamity is a side quest that starts by itself in Melve when a dragon attacks the village. It triggers on a return to Melve after one of Captain Brant's quests in Vernworth. Feast of Deception closes it, so it must be done before then. Lennart hands over the Soldier's Code afterwards, once his favour is high enough.
