The Bone Bow is a Light Bow in Elden Ring.

When to Use It

Shadow of the Erdtree. It is found around Belurat, Tower Settlement in the expansion, which opens only once Starscourge Radahn and Mohg, Lord of Blood are beaten.

Why Players Pick It

The DLC light bow and the only one carrying Rancor Shot rather than Barrage or Mighty Shot. 8 Str / 11 Dex and 161 physical at max, second-highest in the class.

Upgrades

It takes Somber Smithing Stones rather than the common kind, one per level up to +10, and it keeps its own skill for good: no Ash of War will replace it and no affinity will re-cut its scaling.

Skill

Rancor Shot costs 0 / 3 / 3 FP. Imbue arrows with vengeful spirits, before firing off a barrage. Imbued arrows chase down foes as they cut through the air. It belongs to this weapon alone: no Ash of War will move it onto anything else, and nothing will replace it here.

Build

Its scaling runs Str at E and Dex at E, so Str and Dex are the stats worth levelling, and you need Str 8 and Dex 11 before you can lift it. Because the skill is its own, the build has to come to the weapon rather than the other way round.

Notes

A crude shortbow fashioned from sickly bone. A medium for spirit-calling, and a product of the ancient hexing arts of the tower.

How to Get Bone Bow Guide

Location: Belurat, Tower Settlement.
The is found on a corpse in the Upper Residential Ward of Belurat, Tower Settlement. From the Belurat, Tower Settlement site of grace, turn left and ascend the elevator shortcut, then turn left again to enter the bottom of the spiral staircase tower. The bow is on the other side of the room, guarded by numerous Baby Spider Scorpions and two Large Spider Scorpions.
