Bols, Carian Knight is an evergaol boss in Elden Ring.
Bols, Carian Knight is a hulking troll knight sealed inside the Cuckoo's Evergaol in western Liurnia. He swings a massive greatsword that sends shockwaves across the ground and calls down flying magic blades. His great size leaves plenty of room to slip between his legs. Victory earns the Greatblade Phalanx sorcery.
Lore
Bols is a towering troll in heavy knight's armor who wields a massive greatsword. Like all trolls, he descends from the giants.
The trolls were called into service when the Queen of Caria invoked the oath they swore. They were treated as true knights of Caria and fought arm in arm with their human comrades.
Bols was imprisoned in the evergaol by the Knights of the Cuckoo during the strife in Liurnia.

Attacks
- Stomp: he stomps the same leg while foes stay close; roll toward the other leg and strike.
- Greatsword Swings: sweeps along the ground and chops in front; roll into sweeps and away from chops.
- Downward Stab: he drives the blade into the ground with a large shockwave, sometimes wrenching it free to his right; get behind him and stay on his left.
- Mega Slam: a long overhead wind up and a huge shockwave; stand directly behind him or jump the wave.
- Jumping Slam: he leaps high and lands with a shockwave; roll as he descends.
- Dragging Slash: he drags the blade, dashes and slashes, then circles into a slam; slip between his legs during the long wind up.
- Greatblade Phalanx: three magic blades form above his head and fly at their target; run toward him so they pass overhead.
Tactics
- Stay close and get behind him; most of his attacks hit only in front.
- Dodge between his legs, which his size makes easy.
- Punish the long wind up of the Dragging Slash.
- Lure him toward the arena edge; charging into the barrier stuns him.
- Run in toward him when the magic blades appear.
- Use quick spells between his slow attacks.
