Nox Swordstress & Nox Monk is a field boss in Elden Ring.
The Nox Swordstress and Nox Monk are two warriors of the Nox who guard a sealed courtyard in Sellia, Town of Sorcery. The town lies in eastern Caelid, and the seal falls once its rooftop braziers are lit. The swordstress lashes out with a sword that stretches like a whip, while the monk swings a hammer that turns into a ball and chain or a pair of fists. Both must fall to win.
Lore
The Swordstress fights with a flowing sword that lengthens into a lashing whip. The Monk wields a flowing hammer that stretches into a ball and chain and splits into two fist weapons.
Long ago the Nox drew the ire of the Greater Will and were banished deep underground. They live beneath a false night sky, forever awaiting their liege, the coming age of the stars and their Lord of Night.

Attacks
- Sword Swings: the swordstress slashes in many directions; roll through and try to end up behind her.
- Flowing Form: the sword stretches into a whip and sweeps wide arcs; roll through it rather than backing away.
- Hammer Swings: the monk swings his hammer at short and medium reach; roll through toward his back.
- Ball and Chain: the hammer stretches into a long flail that sweeps the area; roll through the arc.
- Fist Slam: the monk pulls his hammer into his fist, hovers and slams down with a shockwave; hit him during the wind up and roll forward as he falls.
- Fist Mode: the monk splits his hammer into two fists and throws punches; roll aside and wait for the chain to end.
Tactics
- Split the pair; both reach far, so attacking one while the other stands nearby is dangerous.
- Throw Kukris or fire single spells to make them dodge apart, then fight the closer one.
- Use their slow walking pace to lead one away and fight it alone.
- Kill the more aggressive monk first.
- Use heavy, jumping or guard counter attacks, since they stagger and break stance easily.
- Summon Spirit Ashes to hold one of them.
Best Builds
Greatshield with guard counters
Guard counters deal heavy stance damage, and both Nox stagger quickly.
They dodge single projectiles, so wide arcs and night sorceries land more reliably.
