The Bloodfeather Set is a late ranger armour set for dagger assassins in the Veilwater Basin. It stacks backstab damage, dagger damage and melee critical hits, and every piece shortens the Wet debuff. The Hunter crafts it, and bosses and chests in the Veilwater Basin drop copies.

Pieces

The helmet adds melee critical hits and backstab damage, and the gloves add dagger damage. The pants speed up sneaking. The chest and shoes add mana and stamina. A shorter Wet debuff keeps stamina up after swimming.

Levelling and Upgrades

Every piece starts at item level 40. Each upgrade at the Hunter costs Runes and adds one item level, more armour and one enhancement, such as extra stamina or a level of the Backstab Mastery skill. A crafted piece is rare and takes three upgrades, up to level 43. A legendary copy from loot takes five, up to level 45, and its last steps also cost Legendary Runes. The same role continues with the Sky Specter armour at level 45 in Cinder's Cradle.

Lore

The Bloodfeather outfit is made for ambushes in the wild. The helmet combines a mask, cloth and horns, and it is the last thing most foes see when caught by surprise. The chest piece lets the wearer cut through the woods unseen while getting ready for the next strike. Crystal and gold trim on the gloves gives a firm grip on daggers, ideal for strikes from behind. The pants make sneaking through the thicket effortless. The shoes help the wearer keep a steady stance and recover before the next attack.

Tips

The Wet reduction matters most after diving in the Veilwater Basin. Being Wet holds back stamina recovery, and the Basin is full of water to swim through. Warmth from a fire clears the Wet debuff even faster. The set suits a dagger build that sneaks up on enemies, because the helmet, gloves and pants all boost attacks from behind. The mana on the chest and pants also makes a mixed build with spells possible.
