Lord Vorgoth is the final boss of Enshrouded and the end of the main story. He leads the Shroud's siege of the Ancient Citadel in Cinder's Cradle. His goal is to destroy the Mother Flame, the source of life of the Ancients. In his first form, Vorgoth, Champion of the Shroud, he is a man about 4 metres tall in dark steel plate armour. Blue Shroud crystals crack across his pale face and grow along the edge of his broad greatsword. In his second form, Vorgoth, the Wanderer's Vessel, he becomes a mound of swollen grey-blue flesh about 12 metres tall. A single tentacle arm about 20 metres long still grips his sword. Defeating him unlocks Flame level 11.

Vorgoth Location

Vorgoth is fought at Mother Flame's Domicile, inside the Ancient Citadel on the floating islands. The fight is part of the main quest Cinders Of The End, given by the Ancient Researcher. Both phases are level 50.

Phase 1

Vorgoth, Champion of the Shroud, is a man about 4 metres tall in full dark steel plate made of overlapping scales, with sharp spiked pauldrons on both shoulders. His face is pale and cracked by patches of crystalline blue Shroud, and his white hair is swept back. A dark red cloth with a faded pattern hangs at his back. His broad greatsword is overgrown with jagged blue Shroud crystals. His armour is forged shut around him, and his crown grips his head like reaching fingers.

Phase 2

Vorgoth, the Wanderer's Vessel, is a colossal mound of swollen, pale blue-grey flesh, about 12 metres tall and 16 metres wide. Dark blue crystal spikes, white spines and pale fungal tufts break through its skin, and blue light glows in the cracks between its lobes. One huge tentacle arm, about 20 metres long, grows out of the mass and holds his corrupted greatsword. Nothing human is left in the shape. The sword is the only sign that it was once Vorgoth.

Tentacle Reach-Pull The long tentacle arm reaches out and drags the player towards him.

Organs

Shroud organs grow out of the arena during the fight. Every hit on an organ is passed on to Vorgoth, so destroying them also wears him down.

Lore

The Mysterious Wanderer whispers to Vorgoth and corrupts his mind. The Wanderer appears before the fight and between its phases, but is never fought. In his diary Vorgoth calls the Ancients rats and sees the Mother Flame as a weapon aimed at his people. The Wanderer convinces him that everything becomes whole inside the Shroud.

Two side quests follow his trail. In Vorgoth's Ruminations, his three diary notes on the floating islands lead to a chest buried below the last one. In Hearing Voices, his tower by the Battlegrounds holds a soldier's notes on the voices of the Wanderer.
