The Wolf's Fang Set is an Albaneve Summits warrior armor set for one-handed fighters who rely on merciless strikes and backstabs. Its strength is the largest merciless attack bonus of any set, carried by the hood, with frost resistance on every piece. The Blacksmith crafts it, and pieces also turn up in chests.

Pieces

The hood adds merciless attack damage, the finishing blow on a stunned enemy, plus backstab damage for hits from behind. The gloves add one-handed melee damage and extra damage against melee enemies. The chest adds health and a large block of stamina. The trousers and boots speed up stamina regeneration. Frost resistance delays hypothermia in the Albaneve Summits.

How to Get Wolf's Fang Set Guide

The Blacksmith makes every piece. Armor recipes unlock on their own each time the Flame is upgraded, one crafting tier at a time. The recipes use Warm Padding, Silver Bars, Steel Bars, Hardened Leather and Obsidian, with an Enshrouded Cyclops Eye and Stapelia Starflower for the hood.

Levelling and Upgrades

The Blacksmith upgrades warrior armor for Runes. Crafted pieces are rare quality, while chests can hold common to legendary ones. The quality sets how many upgrade perks a piece can unlock. Legendary pieces unlock the most and need Legendary Runes for the later steps. The perks here add resistance to blunt, piercing, cutting and Shroud damage, more health and stamina, and extra levels in skills such as Finesse, Thrust and Athlete. Upgraded gear peaks at level 55, far above the Albaneve Summits tier. Outgrown pieces salvage back into runes.

Lore

The Wolf's Fang descriptions describe a silent hunter of the snowy peaks. The hood is made from the scalp of a white wolf, with the fangs still attached at the front. White wolf fur adorns the robust chest and blends in with the snowed-in, grey mountains. The silver-framed gloves end in claw-like points. The trousers have leather greaves that muffle every sound while sneaking. The spiked boots can pierce an artery with one swift kick.

Tips

The Wolf's Fang Set is made for one-handed fighters who rely on merciless strikes and backstabs. Its hood carries the largest merciless attack bonus of any set. Merciless strikes hit enemies whose guard has been broken by a parry or blocked hits. Two-handed fighters get more from the Mountain's Shadow Set of the same tier. Every piece adds frost resistance, which delays hypothermia in the cold of the Albaneve Summits.
