Silver Bars are refined silver in Enshrouded, a metal people once hoarded against a crisis that came anyway. They go into mountain armor such as the Pearlfrost Mentor Chest and the Wolf's Fang Chest, the Obsidian Block and granite bathroom furniture like the Granite Stone Bathtub. The Flame also needs a large stack of them to reach level 8 at the Flame Altar. The Blast Furnace smelts them from Silver Ore and Coal from the Albaneve Summits, twenty bars per craft.

Flame Altar
Silver Bars are one of the five materials that strengthen the Flame to level 8 at a Flame Altar. The same upgrade asks for Obsidian, Mauveine, Wolfsbane and Amethyst, plus Sparks, Water and the head of the boss Fell Dragon Youngling. A stronger Flame adds time in the Shroud and opens deeper Shroud areas. It also allows more altars and survivors. The Blast Furnace smelts Silver Bars from Silver Ore and Coal, so both are worth gathering in bulk before the upgrade.
