Supercharger is a weapon mod for Tech weapons that makes them charge faster and cost less Stamina to fire. In return, the weapon loses some Armor Penetration. It suits a Tech weapon user who fires charged shots in quick succession and wants to keep Stamina for movement. Supercharger is available from the early game, since weapon vendors can stock its lower tiers.
Effect
A Tech weapon charges up before it fires, and a charged shot hits harder. Supercharger raises the charge speed of the weapon. The bonus is 10% at Tier 1 and 20% at Tier 5.
Shooting a gun costs Stamina. Supercharger lowers that cost for the weapon. The saving is 4% at Tier 1 and grows to 20% at Tier 5.
The drawback is the same at every tier. The weapon loses 15% Armor Penetration. Armor Penetration lets shots ignore part of an enemy's Armor, so the penalty matters most against heavily armored foes.
Supercharger is worth the slot on a Tech weapon used against lightly armored enemies.
How to Get Supercharger Guide
- Check weapon vendors, which sometimes stock Tiers 1 to 3.
- Skip time by a day and check again if it is not on sale.
- Combine a matching pair at the crafting menu to raise its tier.

Upgrades
Supercharger comes in Tiers 1 to 5. Each tier raises charge speed and lowers the Stamina cost further. The Armor Penetration penalty stays at 15%. A matching pair of the same mod and tier can be combined at the crafting menu into one copy a tier higher. A mod can only go on a weapon of the same tier or higher. Once installed in a weapon, the mod stays in that weapon.
Character Builds
Supercharger belongs in a Technical Ability build that uses Tech weapons. Bolt also raises charge speed for Tech weapons. Lightning Storm raises charge speed after each Bolt, and the bonus stacks. Shock Value makes Bolts ignore enemy Armor, which covers the mod's penetration penalty on those shots. Chain Lightning makes a Bolt deal Electrical damage and arc to nearby enemies.
