The Achilles x-MOD2 is a modified Militech Achilles hidden in Dogtown. It keeps the charged, wall-piercing shot of the standard rifle and adds better handling. Its main appeal is the extra room for mods that every x-MOD2 weapon has. Fans of the Achilles get a better-handling copy that takes more mods. The x-MOD2 is a Phantom Liberty find, picked up in a hidden room across from the Heavy Hearts club in Dogtown.
Combat
The x-MOD2 works like any Achilles. A quick tap fires a normal shot. Holding the trigger charges a much stronger shot, and a fully charged Tech round goes straight through cover and walls. It can hit enemies who think they are safe behind cover. The better handling helps when moving the sights between targets.
How to Get Achilles x-MOD2 Guide
- Travel to the Heavy Hearts club in Dogtown.
- Cross to the buildings on the other side of the street.
- Climb the stairs to the second floor and crouch through the small opening.

Character Builds
The rifle works best in a build that mixes Technical Ability and Cool. Bolt makes a shot count as fully charged if the trigger is released just before full charge. In Charge stops the rifle from firing on its own at full charge, so the shot can be held for the right moment. Shock Value makes Bolts ignore armor. In the Cool tree, Focus and Deadeye add headshot damage for precision rifles. Nerves Of Tungsten-Steel guarantees crits on headshots while Deadeye is active.
Kiroshi Stalker Optics link to an equipped Tech weapon and highlight enemies behind cover while aiming. With these optics, the x-MOD2 can spot a target and shoot it through the wall straight away. Feedback Circuit restores Health on every fully charged Tech hit.
Select a Build
Cyberware heals the character, sets off EMP blasts on enemies and shows where to aim a fully charged Tech weapon. The Achilles reaches out to enemies at long range. Up close, a Tech pistol or shotgun knocks them down.
