Proprietress of the Rose Chateau, in Vermund;s capital. Her patrons include many influential members of the nobility, An enigmatic woman, she combines her enchanting charm with intelligence and open-mindedness.
Story
Wilhelmina runs the Rose Chateau Bordelrie and is also the proprietress of the Myrmecoleon. She first crosses paths with the Arisen in The Stolen Throne. A hidden passage out of the masquerade hall in Vernworth Castle leads to the back of the bordelrie, where she catches the Arisen but hides them from the guards instead of giving them away. From hiding, the Arisen sees the false Sovran's true nature and catches sight of Queen Regent Disa and Lord Phaesus, the minds behind the deception. Wilhelmina then helps the Arisen slip away and hands over the Myrmecoleon Card.
They meet again in An Unsettling Encounter, as the Arisen sneaks out of the castle grounds after searching the chambers of Minister Allard. When a guard comes near, Wilhelmina passes the Arisen off as a client and kisses them so the guard believes the ruse. Once the guard leaves, she makes clear she would like to learn more about the Arisen at their next meeting.
Allard once committed a crime against Wilhelmina, and in Every Rose Has Its Thorn she sets out to make him pay. While Rolf stands guard, the Arisen spies on her meeting with Allard through a peephole in her quarters and then offers to help. She allows three days to bring her proof of his guilt, and the Murder Report from his estate is the piece that matters. With the Arisen holding Allard down, Wilhelmina, in disguise, kills him, and the two escape through a window.
Her fate depends on the Arisen's choices. Refusing to join the killing still ends with Allard dead, but Wilhelmina is captured. Warning Allard of the plot, or handing her only the bribery evidence, gets her arrested.
Once the Arisen holds the Myrmecoleon Card and has finished Nation of the Lambent Flame, Wilhelmina also offers The Phantom Oxcart at the bordelrie.
Relationships
Wilhelmina can be romanced. The route needs The Stolen Throne and An Unsettling Encounter done first, followed by Every Rose Has Its Thorn, which opens once her affinity is high. Helping her see the killing of Allard through, and then returning to her chambers in the bordelrie, brings the romance scene. If the Arisen owns a house in Vermund, a note from her declaring her feelings waits by the door after the escape.
During Every Rose Has Its Thorn, Sven points the Arisen towards Ser Patrick, who lures Allard away from his estate. Captain Brant can also be won over to cover the escape. He is unhappy that the Arisen took part in killing Allard, but he still helps the Arisen get away.
Gifts
Wilhelmina favours Adorable and Beautiful items. Flowers and shards fit both groups, beetles count as adorable, and anything pleasing to the eye counts as beautiful.
At high affinity she leaves a Savagery Extract at the Arisen's house. Her note confesses that she had forgotten how it felt to long for someone's company, and asks what the Arisen means to do about it.
Notes
- In An Unsettling Encounter, leaving Allard's chambers by the window and heading for the castle archway triggers the scene with her. Her romance depends on this scene.
- Finishing An Unsettling Encounter before the masquerade lets The Stolen Throne skip that part, so a visit to Wilhelmina at the bordelrie picks the quest up.
- The best outcome of Every Rose Has Its Thorn adds a dialogue option with Hugo when offering him work in Off the Pilfered Path.
- Her personality type is Kindhearted.
- An Allheal Elixir can be stolen from her.
