The Black Steel Greathammer is a Great Hammer in Elden Ring. It is part of Shadow of the Erdtree, found in Gravesite Plain.

The Black Steel Greathammer is the weapon of the Black Knights, servants of Messmer the Impaler, black steel trimmed in gold and blessed with an Erdtree incantation, so further holy imbuement greatly increases its power. It is a guaranteed drop from the Black Knight inside the Church of Consolation east of the Gravesite Plain. It swings slowly like other great hammers and deals holy damage alongside physical. Its unique guard counter leaves a trail of gold that erupts a moment later in a staggering holy burst, which a Sacred infusion and high Faith strengthen. It suits a Strength and Faith character who blocks behind a greatshield and counters.

Endure costs 9 FP. The wielder braces in an anchored stance that for three seconds raises damage negation by 45 percent and greatly boosts poise, so most attacks fail to stagger. Some light one-handed attacks even bounce off, though headshots and launching attacks can still interrupt the wielder. Heavy weapons take noticeably longer to enter the stance. It is the weapon's default Ash of War, so another can take its place.
