The Greathorn Hammer is a Great Hammer in Elden Ring. It is a mid-game find.

The Greathorn Hammer is a huge, thick horn carved with tree ring-like markings and adapted into a bludgeon, wielded by the ancestral follower warriors. It is a rare drop from Ancestral Followers in the Siofra River, two of whom patrol near the Ancestral Woods Site of Grace. It uses the great hammer moveset of slow, heavy strike attacks that crush armor, scaling with Strength and Dexterity at D. The ancient horn is imbued with the power of ancestral spirits, restoring 3% of HP on each kill, and that heal stacks with the Blasphemous Blade and Rykard's Great Rune. It suits a Strength character clearing groups of enemies who wants a little sustain.

Skill

Barbaric Roar costs 16 FP. The wielder lets out a bestial roar that grants a 40 second weapon buff, raising physical attack power. While it lasts, heavy and charged heavy attacks turn into a savage three-hit combo that chains into a further follow-up shaped by the weapon class. The Roar Medallion adds to the damage of these combos, and as a weapon buff it replaces greases and armament-buffing spells rather than stacking with them. It is the weapon's default Ash of War, so another can take its place.

Suggested Build

Played as a Strength great hammer for heavy, armor-crushing swings, with its heal on each kill sustaining runs through groups of enemies.
