The Battle Hammer is a Great Hammer in Elden Ring. It arrives late in the game, in Leyndell, Ashen Capital.

The Battle Hammer is a large iron warhammer built for gladiatorial combat, used by duelists exiled from the colosseum and heavy enough to crush armor and its wearer alike. It drops from the hammer-wielding Grave Warden Duelists outside the Royal Colosseum in Leyndell, Royal Capital, who disappear once the city turns to ash. Like other great hammers it makes slow, heavy Strike attacks that punish armored enemies and break shields, and it is among the shortest of its class. It scales mainly with Strength and comes with Braggart's Roar. It suits a Strength character who can carry its weight.

It is a rare drop from the hammer-wielding Grave Warden Duelists near the Royal Colosseum in Leyndell, Royal Capital, which vanish once Maliketh, the Black Blade is defeated.

1. Rest at the West Capital Rampart Site of Grace in Leyndell, Royal Capital.
2. Head to the hammer-wielding Grave Warden Duelists outside the Royal Colosseum.
3. Defeat them until one drops the hammer, before Maliketh, the Black Blade is defeated.

Braggart's Roar costs 16 FP. The wielder lets out a boastful roar that staggers nearby foes and grants a 60 second buff raising physical attack power, damage negation and stamina recovery speed. While it lasts, two-handed heavy and charged attacks change into a new moveset that varies by weapon class, usually opening with a heavy overhead slam. It is the weapon's default Ash of War, so another can take its place.
