The Ash of War: Poison Moth Flight is an Ash of War in Elden Ring that grants the Poison affinity and the Poison Moth Flight skill. It is a mid-game find in Caelid.
Poison Moth Flight coats the blade in poison and lunges into an advancing slash that builds a large amount of deadly poison. If the slash lands on a target that is already poisoned, the poison bursts for heavy extra damage based on the target's maximum HP, ending the poison early. The skill can either apply poison or cash it in for burst damage, much like a bleed proc on demand. It suits Arcane and Dexterity builds running small and medium swords.

It grants the Poison affinity and a Whetblade can switch it to Standard, Keen, Heavy, Quality, Blood or Occult. The skill costs 7 FP. It fits Dagger, Throwing Blade, Straight Sword, Light Greatsword, Thrusting Sword, Curved Sword, Backhand Blade and Katana.
How to Get Ash of War: Poison Moth Flight Guide
- Dropped by the Night's Cavalry that patrols the southern road in Caelid at night, northeast of the Cathedral of Dragon Communion.
- Once obtained, it can be duplicated by trading Lost Ashes of War to Smithing Master Hewg at the Roundtable Hold.

Skill
The best rhythm is to land the slash once to poison the target, wait for the poison to tick for a while, then use it again to burst it, since the burst damage does not depend on how much poison time remains. It cannot apply and burst poison in the same use, and the slash can be parried. It pairs well with effects that trigger when poison occurs nearby, since it can reapply and burst poison repeatedly.
