The Carian Thrusting Shield is a Thrusting Shield in Elden Ring. It has the highest guard boost of any thrusting shield in the game. It comes from Shadow of the Erdtree and is found in Shadow Keep.

The Carian Thrusting Shield is a silver thrusting shield set with glintstones that lets the wielder attack and guard at the same time; Rellana, the Twin Moon Knight, carried it in her only entry into ritual combat. It lies on a corpse past a Fire Knight in the back section of the Specimen Storehouse in Shadow Keep, reached from the Church District. It blocks like a shield with a high guard boost and good physical and magic negation, while its thrusts deal pierce damage with added magic. Shield Strike attacks with the shield itself, and repeated inputs add up to three follow-up blows. It suits a Strength character who wants to block and counter with one item, and its Intelligence requirement adds magic for a hybrid.

Found on a corpse in the Shadow Keep's Specimen Storehouse's back section, reached from the Church District.
The shield is found by going past the tall ladder.
It is guarded by a Fire Knight.

Skill

Shield Strike costs no FP. The skill lets an off-hand shield perform its own chain of light attacks instead of the main weapon's skill, with repeated inputs carrying the chain through several strikes. It costs no FP. It is the weapon's default Ash of War, so another can take its place.

Guarding

With a guard boost of 64, a blocked hit that would cost 100 stamina only costs 36. No other thrusting shield guards better. It lets 6% of physical damage through, and against the elements it holds up best to magic, at 64%, and worst to lightning, at 34%. A block that drains the last of the stamina bar breaks the guard, leaving an opening for a critical.
