Rellana, Twin Moon Knight is a legendary boss in Elden Ring. It comes from the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion.
Rellana, Twin Moon Knight is the Carian princess who became the Sword of Messmer. She guards the top of Castle Ensis, the gateway from the Gravesite Plain to Scadu Altus. She fights with two light greatswords, one charged with glintstone and one with Messmer's flame. Her long, delayed combos make her one of the hardest fights of the Realm of Shadow.
Lore
Rellana wears ornate armor of silver steel adorned with the lapis-lazuli blue of Caria. Her long black hair falls loose. She wields twin light greatswords that glow blue with moonlight and orange with flame.
Rellana was born a princess of Caria and was the younger sister of Rennala. As children, the two sisters saw the twin moons overlapping as if nestled together. Count Ymir instructed her in sorcery.
Rellana disavowed her birthright to stand at the side of Messmer the Impaler. She knew that even the brilliance of the moon could not grant him succor. In time she became known as the Sword of Messmer.

Phases
- Phase 1: Rellana fights with long sword combos, glintstone daggers and ranged slashes.
- Phase 2: below half health her blades burn with moonlight and flame, her combos grow longer and her attacks cover wider areas. Near the end she calls down twin moons that strike the whole arena.
Attacks
- Forward Thrust Combos: three-hit and six-hit strings that end with a double thrust. The slow final thrust is the best punish window.
- Gap closers: lunges that propel her at the player. Spam rolling gets caught, so measured dodges work better.
- Ranged slash: her sword lights up before a long horizontal wave at range. A roll through the wave avoids it.
- Glintstone daggers: daggers summoned near the ground fire almost at once, often followed by a thrust. A sideways roll avoids them.
- Sleight of Sword, Fire: a burst of flame with a wide area and outer rings. Moving well away avoids it.
- Twin Moons: at about 30% health two moons fall on the arena. Jumping three times as each moon and Rellana land avoids all damage.
Tactics
- Raise rune level and Scadutree Blessing before the fight.
- Equip the Spelldrake Talisman +3 from Castle Ensis, or eat Spellproof Dried Liver.
- Summon Needle Knight Leda for the first half and save a spirit ash for phase two.
- Wait for her slow finishing attacks before striking.
- Use heavy attacks in openings to stagger her.
- Use lightning, which the pool of water strengthens, or pierce damage.
