Romina, Saint of the Bud is a legendary boss in Elden Ring. It is part of the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion.
Romina, Saint of the Bud is a saint transformed by scarlet rot into a creature of centipede, scorpion and butterfly. She waits in the burned Church of the Bud at the end of the Ancient Ruins of Rauh. She fights with a rot-charged poleblade, fangs and a stinger that strike from different angles. Her defeat is required to reach the sealing tree and move on.
Lore
Romina has the body of a woman joined to the long body of a centipede, with a scorpion's stinger and butterfly wings. Centipede fangs act as extra arms. She wields a poleblade that was once the bud she held.
Romina's church was burned during Messmer's crusade. Amid the flames she held the bud in speechless silence. Within the burned church she found a grotesque divinity and clung to the sinister scarlet rot, and the bud became her poleblade.

Phases
- Phase 1: Romina fights with poleblade swings, centipede sweeps, fangs and stinger strikes.
- Phase 2: she scatters glowing butterflies that explode after a delay.
Attacks
- Centipede Sweep: her centipede body swings from right to left. A forward roll just before it hits gets close for a heavy attack.
- Quick Dash: she repositions and swings her poleblade. A roll left or back avoids it.
- Heavy spear thrusts and stinger sweeps: her limbs strike from different directions at once. Staying beside her makes some sweeps miss.
- Rot poleblade: the blade glows red when charged with scarlet rot. Avoiding these hits prevents rot buildup.
- Exploding butterflies: in phase two, glowing butterflies burst after a delay. A single dodge or simply walking away avoids them.
Tactics
- Bring Preserving Boluses or Flame, Cleanse Me for scarlet rot.
- Summon Dryleaf Dane, or a spirit such as the Mimic Tear Ashes or Black Knife Tiche.
- Stay close to her, where many of her sweeps miss.
- Watch her poleblade and dodge when it glows red.
- Use fire and frost, because she takes extra damage from both.
