Lupa's Lair is the stronghold of the boss Scavenger Matron Lupa in the Nomad Highlands. Lupa was once a prisoner in Raven's Keep. With help from her sister Kendal, she tore through a hollow wall of her cell and led the inmates out through a Vukah cave. The escaped prisoners then built this lair, hoping to eclipse Umber Hollow and rule the Highlands. Their patrols now hold the trade roads in an iron grip. The lair also holds the Hunter's Tanning Station and a captured survivor, Robert Gibson.
Where to Find Lupa's Lair - Map Location
Lupa's Lair lies south of the Nomad Highlands Ancient Spire. The Ruined Bridge leads to it from the east. A Night Sanctum with a Gem Forge inside lies just south, and the Vukah Cave Passage is close by. Brightwich is to the north, and Flame Shrines stand both north and south of the lair.

Quests
In In Need Of A Tanning Station, the Hunter wants tools for drying fur and leather. The Carpenter remembers a fearsome hunter who was sent to Raven's Keep, so the search starts there. The keep turns out to be empty, because its inmates escaped to Lupa's Lair, where the Tanning Station waits. In Captured By Lupa, a note from a robbed merchant leads to the chest he hid before Lupa's patrol caught him. The stash lies near the giant bones and rewards a gold chest.

Enemies
Scavengers fill the lair, and Lupa herself is its boss. The prison notes say she spews acid with every howl, so her attacks are best dodged. Defeating her gives a Scavenger Matron Head, one of the materials for upgrading the Flame Altar.

Lore Pages
"They Terrorize The Roads!" is the merchant Benni's note from the set Captured By Lupa. He was caught on the boneyard pass after Lupa's people found his smuggled crates in Surat's Rest. The note lies in a small dungeon under the boss building, reached through the hole in the floor or by cutting down the wooden barricades outside. "Tanning Station Recipe" lies on the table in the boss building. It warns the Scavengers that the planks must be stacked exactly as the matron demands.
