Netch Leather is stripped from the netch, the drifting jellyfish-like creatures of Solstheim, and arrives with the Dragonborn add-on. Unlike an ordinary hide it is not tanned into Leather: it goes straight onto the forge as a crafting material in its own right.
Drops
Betty netch and bull netch both drop it. Blacksmiths and general goods traders on Solstheim stock it, which is usually quicker than hunting, since a netch takes a while to bring down and drifts away while you do it.
What It Builds
Netch leather is one of the required materials for both bonemold and chitin style armour, the two Dunmer sets the add-on introduces. It is also the main material of netch leather armour, added later by a Creation.
Nothing on the mainland uses it, so a stock of netch leather is only worth carrying while you are working on Solstheim gear.
