Crystal grows in the glittering clusters that line the frost caves of the Mountains, and you can pick it by hand. It also drops from the Stone Golems that lumber about on the slopes above.

How to Get It

Picking a cluster in a frost cave with your bare hands gives a single crystal, but the clusters are fragile, and smashing one drops one to three instead. Stone Golems drop crystal as well. They are very weak to pickaxe damage and shrug off slash and pierce, so an Antler Pickaxe or better beats any sword you own. The real gate is the Mountain itself: bring Frost Resistance Mead or wolf armour, or the cold will kill you long before a golem does.

Notes

Picking a crystal inside a cave only drops one crystal. The clusters break easily, though, and a destroyed one drops 1 to 3 crystals instead.
