Grausten Payload is the ranging shot for a catapult: cheap stone hacked out of the Ashlands that you lob to find the mark before you spend an explosive payload on it. It deals 25 blunt, 5 chop and 5 pickaxe damage. With 35 total damage it ranks 17th among ammunition, a step on the ladder rather than the top of it. Blunt damage hurts Blob, Bonemass and Brenna more than most things, but this payload deals too little damage to matter against them.
How to Craft
You craft it at a level 1 workbench from:
- 10x Grausten, mined from ruins and rock formations in the Ashlands.

Properties
This is catapult ammunition, and its job is breaking walls. It hits for 20 blunt on impact, then deals another 5 blunt, 5 chop and 5 pickaxe in a 3 metre radius, and that blast destroys any structure that can take damage.
It is cheap and very weak against creatures. Use it to open a fortress wall, not to kill what is behind it.
Notes
- Ammunition damage is added to the weapon's base damage before any other calculation. That is why the arrow, not the bow, decides a shot's damage type.
- Arrows are fired by bows and bolts by crossbows, and the 2 are not interchangeable.
- With more than one kind in your inventory, right-click a stack to choose which one is used.
