Proustite Powder drops from the unstable lava rocks clinging to boulders across the Ashlands, and from the lava blobs that bounce between them.
How to Get It
Unstable lava rocks are deposits, not creatures, but hit one with a pickaxe or a melee weapon and it explodes in your face. The blast ignores both armour and blocking. Shoot them instead: a bow or crossbow cracks each rock from a safe distance and leaves the powder on the ground, and frost arrows do the job fastest. Lava blobs drop it too, so any patrol through the Ashlands tends to bring some home. All of it is deep Ashlands work, which means you need fire resistance barley wine and a way to get ashore in the first place.
