Poison Resistance Mead cuts poison damage and poison duration by three quarters for ten minutes. That is the difference between the Swamp being lethal and merely unpleasant, and it is the reason Bonemass can be beaten at all.

How to Make It

Boil the base at a mead ketill from ten honey, five thistle, one neck tail and ten coal. Honey comes from beehives, and thistle glows on the floor of the Black Forest and the Swamp. Neck tails drop from the necks along any Meadows shoreline, and coal comes from a charcoal kiln. Pour the base into a fermenter and wait two in-game days for six bottles. Drink it before you get poisoned, because it does nothing for poison that is already ticking.

• Craft some before your first trip into the Swamp to counter the poison effect.
• Other poison-resistant gear needs Root (item), which you can only get by killing an Abomination.
• The mead's "very resistant" effect overrides the "resistant" effect of the Root mask.
• The mead has the stronger effect, but the buff from the Root Mask never expires.
