Bread, pies and the rest of the prepared foods never touch a cooking spit: they go into the Stone Oven. It is a late entry in the Crafting Stations tab, built from Iron, Stone and Surtling Cores. It bakes several items at a time, as long as you keep a fire going inside it.
How to Build It
It costs fifteen Iron, twenty Stone and four Surtling Cores, and it can only be placed inside the radius of an Artisan Table. That is the gate that keeps it out of an early kitchen. Give it a solid footing and clear room to stand, and feed it Wood to keep the fire burning. Set it beside the Cauldron, because every dough and filling it bakes is prepared there first.
