When a stake wall needs a way through, the Wood Gate provides it. It is a heavy double gate of twelve Wood, wide and tall enough to walk a cart or a tamed boar through. It sits in the Doors & Gates tab alongside the plain door, but it is built for the perimeter rather than the house.
How to Build It
At twelve Wood, it is the priciest of the plain timber pieces, and like the rest it needs a Workbench in range. If the wall runs far from home, put up a second bench just inside the fence line. The gate needs a 3x2 gap in the palisade, so leave the space as you raise the wall rather than knocking stakes out afterwards. It stands in the open by definition, so it takes the weather full on and is usually the first stretch of a perimeter to need repairs.
