Padre, whose real name is Sebastian Ibarra, is the fixer of Heywood. He was once a priest of the Valentinos, but after a bloodbath at Moto Cielo he turned to what he sees as a nobler calling: fixing. He follows his own code of honour and backs no single gang. His real interest is keeping the fragile balance of power in Night City.
Biography
The Priest
Sebastian Ibarra once tended the altar of Santa Muerte, a shrine in Santo Domingo. He wore a priest's clothes and gave people counsel, though he may never have been formally ordained, and the locals respected him as they would any priest. He later joined the Valentinos, kept close ties to a Mexican cartel and spent years in prison. His body is covered in tattoos from those days.
The Fixer
Padre survived a massacre at Moto Cielo, and afterwards he gave up the gang life to become a fixer. At first he found work only for his own people in Heywood and for the Valentinos. Later he even dealt with their rivals, 6th Street. Some say he has softened with age, and others say he simply sees the bigger picture. He now works out of the Glen in Heywood, respected and feared.
V and Jackie
Padre knew Jackie Welles from his years with the Valentinos and stayed on good terms with him. A Streetkid V knows him from before, and he gives V a ride in his car at the start of the story. After Jackie's death he comes to the ofrenda at El Coyote Cojo to mourn him.
