Location Charter Hill

Johnny's Shoes once belonged to Johnny Silverhand, and they finish the Johnny look from the feet up. They are an Iconic piece of clothing for the Feet slot. V finds them in a locker during the gig Family Heirloom, which Rogue offers late in the story. They sit in the same locker as the recording the gig asks for. The gig opens only after Ghost Town and a high Street Cred level.

Appearance

Johnny's Shoes are a cosmetic piece. In the game, clothing is mostly about looks. Armor comes mainly from cyberware instead.

The Wardrobe in V's apartments changes how V looks while the stats of the equipped gear stay the same. A whole outfit can be saved there and switched on later. The shoes fit into a saved Johnny outfit together with the aviators, the jacket replica, the tank top and the pants.

Lore

The in-game description sighs at the thought of spending a day in the shoes of a legend. The shoes once belonged to Johnny Silverhand. Johnny was the frontman of Samurai and a lifelong enemy of the corporations. He died in the attack on Arasaka Tower, and his mind now lives as an engram on the Relic in V's head.

Family Heirloom is about Samurai too. Rogue's client Dan lost his car in a card game, and the trunk held a one of a kind bootleg recording of Samurai. Dan is the son of Nancy, who played keyboard for the band. Rogue wants the recording back. A man who answers to the 6th Street gang holds the stolen goods in a parking garage. The locker with the recording also holds Johnny's shoes.
