The Shion "Coyote" is a nomad build of Mizutani's Shion sports car, fitted for the desert and armed with machine guns. It keeps the speed of a sports coupe and adds all-wheel drive, reinforcement and tougher suspension. Players buy it for fast car combat and for long runs across the Badlands. The Coyote is a late Autofixer car that unlocks at high Street Cred.
Performance
The Coyote drives all four wheels with a strong engine. All-wheel drive spreads the power over every tyre, which helps on sand and gravel.
The Coyote carries two forward-facing machine guns on mounts outside the body. They fire straight ahead, so V aims them by pointing the nose at the target. The guns reload on their own once the ammo runs out. A CrystalDome cabin hides the people inside from view.
How to Get Mizutani Shion "Coyote" Guide
- Raise V's Street Cred until the Coyote appears for sale.
- Open the Autofixer netpage from an Autofixer terminal or a computer in one of V's apartments.
- Buy the Shion "Coyote" for €$ 77,000.

Lore
The Database admits that the Shion looks like a city car, built for smooth roads and unfit for the wasteland. It says the standard model would grind to a halt at the first rocky hill. Nomad upgrades change that. With reinforcement and improved suspension, the Coyote cuts through rough ground like a laser knife through butter. The car's own description says it can run at full speed even in desert heat above 135 degrees Fahrenheit.
Before the Autofixer, the fixer Dakota Smith sold the Coyote to V. Her message said it could drive over a field of nails and broken glass as if it were fresh asphalt.
Notes
- Revving the engine hard makes the exhaust pipes glow from the heat.
- A red Coyote used to be a reward in the Aldecaldos job With a Little Help from My Friends, and that reward is now the Shion "Bonewrecker".
