The Mizutani Shion "Samum" is an armed Shion from Phantom Liberty. It takes Mizutani's sports coupe and adds mounted weapons for fights on the road. It unlocks through El Capitan's vehicle contracts, and it is one of the pricier cars on that list. Players who like the Shion and want firepower to go with it should work toward this car. The Shion "Samum" unlocks on the Autofixer netpage in Phantom Liberty after V completes enough vehicle contracts for El Capitan.
Performance
The Samum is a weaponized vehicle. The Autofixer netpage marks such cars with a weapon icon in the corner of the listing.
Armed cars carry machine guns, a missile launcher or both. The machine guns fire straight ahead, so the driver aims by pointing the nose of the car at the target. The weapons reload once their ammo runs out.
Gearhead from the Technical Ability tree is the key perk for an armed car. It adds vehicle health and gives mounted weapons more damage. It also cuts their lock-on time. Road Warrior from the Cool tree adds weapon damage while the car drifts or is airborne. Fury Road from the Body tree raises collision damage against enemy vehicles.
How to Get Mizutani Shion "Samum" Guide
- Own Phantom Liberty and reach Dogtown.
- Complete vehicle contracts for Muamar "El Capitan" Reyes until the Samum unlocks.
- Open the Autofixer netpage at an Autofixer terminal or on the computer in one of V's apartments.
- Find the Shion "Samum" in the Mizutani section and buy it for €$ 87,000.

Lore
The Shion is Mizutani's sports coupe. The in-game Database calls the Shion a sports coupe par excellence, known for its streamlined yet aggressive lines. The Samum is a custom, armed take on that car.
Notes
- The Shion "Coyote" is the other armed Shion. It is bought with Street Cred instead of contracts.
- Vehicle contracts also pay out Autofixer discount shards, and the discounts stack until the next purchase.
