The Caliburn "Mordred" is Yorinobu Arasaka's personal hypercar, and V can steal it in the side job Freedom. It is a one-of-a-kind Rayfield Caliburn with a violet glow under its hood. It has the Caliburn's enormous power and all-wheel drive in a darker, meaner shell. Players want it for the thrill of taking a car from the head of Arasaka, and for one of the strongest engines in the game. V can take the Mordred in the side job Freedom from El Capitan, which opens after Transmission, Search and Destroy and the first three races of The Beast in Me.
Performance
The Mordred shares the Caliburn's huge engine and all-wheel drive, and it is light for its power. Its handling is smooth.
How to Get Rayfield Caliburn "Mordred" Guide
- Finish Transmission, Search and Destroy, and The Beast in Me races in the Badlands and Santo Domingo.
- Accept El Capitan's message about a special business opportunity to start Freedom.
- Find the Rayfield engineers at the Coronado Dam and read the shard by one of them.
- Clear the construction site in Rancho Coronado and hack the laptop next to the car.
- Find the skeleton key, chase the Mordred, stop it and get in.
Rayfield Caliburn "Mordred" Map Location and Quest Guide
- Start Freedom by replying to El Capitan's message about a special business opportunity.
- Drive to the Coronado Dam in Santo Domingo and search the wrecked cars for the dead engineers.
- Read the shard by the engineer named Harry Bell to learn where the car is.
- Go to the construction site in Rancho Coronado and defeat the guards.
- Hack the laptop on the table to the right of the car, then send the files to El Capitan.
- Ignore El Capitan's order to leave, and take the skeleton key from a workbench on the far side of the site.
- Use the palm reader to add V to the car's whitelist, if V wants to avoid a police chase.
- Search the marked area for the Mordred and shoot it until it stops.
- Get into the Mordred, and lose the police if V skipped the whitelist.
The map shows where the side job Freedom takes V in Rancho Coronado, the job in which V claims the Mordred.

Lore
The Mordred is a variant of Rayfield's Caliburn hypercar, built in secret for Yorinobu Arasaka. The Database says the power-hungry Mordred joins a Caliburn's speed with the lethality of a hellhound. A violet glow shines from under its hood. Inside the modified chassis growls a power unit tuned for speed and control. The text calls it a message: many flaunt the illusion of power, but only a few truly command it.
In Freedom, El Capitan wants intel on a new Rayfield project. V finds dead engineers near the Coronado Dam and learns that the car is getting an unofficial AutoDrive update at a construction site. When V reads the files there, the name of the owner comes out: Yorinobu Arasaka. El Capitan panics and tells V to walk away. V can ignore him and steal the car anyway.
Notes
- Leaving the area before stealing the car fails the job, and the Mordred is lost for good.
