The Black Flame's Protection is a Godskin Apostle incantation in Elden Ring.
Black Flame's Protection is a black flame incantation of the Godskin Apostles, all embraced by the Gloam-Eyed Queen, for whom the black flame was armor within. For 70 seconds it cuts physical damage taken, by less against players, but reduces all healing received, including flasks. It stacks multiplicatively with buffs such as Golden Vow and the Rallying Standard, and the Crimson Seed Talisman offsets the healing penalty on Flasks of Crimson Tears. As a body buff it does not stack with other effects of that type. It suits melee faith builds that tank hits from physical bosses and can afford slower healing.
Effect
Cuts physical damage taken by 35% (15% against players) for 70 seconds, but reduces all healing received by 20%. Each cast costs 30 FP and 13 stamina and takes up one memory slot.
How to Get Black Flame's Protection Guide
- Given by Sir Gideon Ofnir, the All-Knowing at Roundtable Hold when asked about the secret medallion, once both halves of the Haligtree Secret Medallion are in hand.
- If it was never collected, the Twin Maiden Husks sell it for 2,500 runes after Gideon leaves the hold late in the game.
