Sir Gideon Ofnir, the All-Knowing is a great boss in Elden Ring.
Sir Gideon Ofnir, the All-Knowing is the leader of the Roundtable Hold who turns on the Tarnished near the end of the journey. He waits in the Erdtree Sanctuary of Leyndell, Ashen Capital, on the road to the Elden Throne. He fights like a Tarnished with powerful sorceries and incantations. He has little stance, so steady pressure breaks his casts.

Gideon wears the All-Knowing armor of the Roundtable's leader. He carries the Scepter of the All-Knowing and casts both sorceries and incantations.
Gideon Ofnir led the Tarnished of the Roundtable Hold and wished to become Elden Lord. He gathered knowledge of the shardbearers through a network of spies. He took in Nepheli Loux as his adopted daughter when she lost the guidance of grace.
Through a long exchange with the Two Fingers, Gideon learned that everything had been broken long ago, the Erdtree and the Fingers themselves included. He then glimpsed the will of Queen Marika.

Attacks
- Knowledge Above All: he raises his scepter and marks both fighters with a red eye that blocks healing for a short time.
- Comet Azur: a long channeled beam of magic. A pillar blocks it, or a heavy jump attack interrupts the cast.
- Rykard's Rancor: homing skulls that follow the target. A pillar blocks them, or a jump attack stops the channel.
- Black Flame Ritual: black flames rise around him very quickly. Dodging out of range at the first flame avoids heavy damage.
- Quick sorceries and incantations: fast projectiles thrown between bigger casts. Most can be blocked by terrain.
Tactics
- Equip spell protection such as the Spelldrake Talisman and the Haligdrake Talisman.
- Use the pillars on both sides of the chamber to block projectiles and to heal safely.
- Stay aggressive, because his low stance breaks quickly.
- Interrupt Comet Azur and Rykard's Rancor with heavy jump attacks.
- Summon a fast spirit such as Black Knife Tiche to keep him from casting.
- Magic users can cast Eternal Darkness to pull in his projectile spells.
