The Black Flame Ritual is a Godskin Apostle incantation in Elden Ring. It is a late-game find in the Mountaintops of the Giants.
Black Flame Ritual is a superior black flame incantation of the Godskin Apostles, who were led by the Gloam-Eyed Queen, said to be an Empyrean chosen by the Fingers. The caster crouches and raises a circle of black flame pillars around them that burn for a few seconds, and charging widens the circle at the cost of leaving a safe spot in the middle. Every hit deals fire damage and refreshes a burn based on the target's maximum HP, which makes it very strong against immobile bosses, enemies with long recovery and those with huge hitboxes. The caster cannot move or cancel the cast until it finishes, and the flames start dealing damage a moment after they rise. The Godfrey Icon boosts charged casts, and it suits black flame faith builds fighting large, slow targets.
Effect
Raises a ring of black flame pillars around the caster for about 4 seconds; charging widens the ring. Each cast costs 30 FP and 39 stamina and takes up one memory slot.
