The Scouring Black Flame is a Godskin Apostle incantation in Elden Ring. It is found in the Altus Plateau, around the middle of a run.
Scouring Black Flame is a black flame incantation of the Godskin Apostles, whose fire could once slay gods until Maliketh sealed Destined Death and its true power was lost. It sweeps a wide arc of black flame in front of the caster, dealing fire damage and applying a burn based on the target's maximum HP, and charging extends its reach. It hits a little harder than Black Flame uncharged, though Black Flame has better range and speed and matches it when both are charged. The arc travels outward and upward, so it can miss small enemies on the ground unless the camera is aimed down first, and its upward sweep makes it hard for players to read and dodge. The Godslayer's Seal and the Godfrey Icon boost it, and it suits black flame faith builds that fight at close range.
Effect
Sweeps a wide arc of black flame in front of the caster that keeps burning foes for a share of their maximum HP; charging extends its reach. Each cast costs 21 FP and takes up one memory slot.
