The Black Steel Twinblade is a Twinblade in Elden Ring.

When to Use It

Shadow of the Erdtree. It is found around Scadu Altus in the expansion, which opens only once Starscourge Radahn and Mohg, Lord of Blood are beaten.

Upgrades

Ordinary Smithing Stones carry it all the way to +25, and because it is not a Somber weapon it will also hold a grease or a weapon buff, which is a damage source the unique blades simply do not have.

Build

Its scaling runs Str at D, Dex at D and Fai at D, so Str, Dex and Fai are the stats worth levelling, and you need Str 18, Dex 15 and Fai 13 before you can lift it. Any Ash of War and any affinity will sit on it, so its scaling can be re-cut towards whichever stat you are already levelling.

Notes

Weapon of the Black Knights, servants of Messmer the Impaler. Twinblade of black steel with decorative embellishments in gold. Blessed with an Erdtree incantation. Further holy imbuement will amplify the effect and greatly increase the armament's power.

How to Get Black Steel Twinblade Guide

Guaranteed drop from the Black Knight at the top of the western hill camp off to the side of the encampment in front of the Shadow Keep in Scadu Altus.
